Blogging is not just the present business craze, but with proper application, it can be a long-lasting part of your marketing strategy. Expect it to be a valuable tool for years to come.
At the end of 2012, I was fortunate enough to read Michael Hyatt’s best seller, Platform: Get Noticed. For me, this book was the equivalent of “The Ten Commandments.” The 62 chapters in Hyatt’s book basically became the business manual to my IT company.
Since 1991, the technology field has changed drastically, as has my career. I began working as a database developer, switched to hardware sales & service, moved into networking and the web (let’s not forget domain investing), then began web servicing, email hosting & design work. Now, of course, I specialize in Social Media. It’s been a huge advantage in this industry to have 20+ years experience in all aspects of the Information Technology field. I love having the opportunity to apply my many different skills to my current clientele. And when I discovered Hyatt’s platform book, I was thrilled to learn the tips, techniques, and strategies he promotes.
2013 promises to be a great year. I look forward to my many new business relationships, and more blogging. For now, I wish you a Happy New Year!
Expect me to keep creating blog posts to help you develop some technical savvy in this wonderful technological age that we live in.
